Job Title: Laborer / Cable Puller (Fiber Optics & Maintenance)

Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Laborers / Cable Pullers with hands-on background in fiber optics and cable installation to support shipyard and industrial operations. This role involves assisting with cable routing, pulling, and maintenance while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with pulling, routing, and securing fiber optic and electrical cables
- Support installation and maintenance of cable systems onboard vessels or industrial sites
- Handle cable trays, conduits, and routing pathways
- Assist in fiber optic cable handling, labeling, and basic organization
- Maintain clean and safe work areas
- Follow all safety procedures including TAG-Out / LOTO when applicable
- Work closely with electricians, supervisors, and technical teams
- Perform general labor duties as needed to support project completion
Required Qualifications
- Experience in cable pulling and installation (fiber optics preferred)
- Basic knowledge of fiber optic handling and maintenance
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
- Physically capable of lifting, pulling, bending, and working in tight spaces
- Strong work ethic and reliability
Preferred Qualifications
- Shipyard or industrial experience (NASSCO, BAE Systems, or similar)
- Familiarity with cable routing standards and best practices
- OSHA 10 certification
- Experience working onboard ships or in confined spaces
Work Environment
- Shipyard / industrial setting
- Work may be performed in confined spaces, at heights, or outdoors
- Physically demanding role requiring lifting and repetitive movement
